Rory James Britton

We are pleased to announce that Rory James Britton was born on Friday, May 29th at 8:45 am. He weighs 7 lbs 12 oz, and is 21.5 inches long. He is an EXCELLENT eater and so will likely outweigh his big brother any day now. They let us leave the hospital this morning and everyone is doing great.

Introductions.

The family, looking a little bewildered... (Day 1)

Fun at the Museum of Nature

We had a great time exploring at the Museum of Nature on Sunday. Jack was a bit nervous around the dinosaurs at first, but he got braver as the visit went on.

Not quite sure...

Warming up to the idea...

Ok maybe we could try a plant-eater...

Full T-Rex experience!

We're still not sure what these guys were.

Being a bit concerned that the wolves were going to eat the bison.

At the end of the visit we came across some frogs. Definitely not the intended big attraction of the museum, but absolutely a highlight for Jack!

CN Race for CHEO

Jack and Ben participated in the CN bike race to raise money for CHEO -The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario. After the race there was a lunch for the participants, and fire trucks and activities for the kids. Jack had lots of fun!

Where the birds are...

There are an insane amount of geese across the street from our house right now. This picture doesn't do it justice, but I had to post something. It's something out of a Hitchcock film.

Happy Easter!

We have had a great Easter Sunday so far! Ben's mom came down for the weekend and Jack has been having lots of fun with his Granny.

Jack woke up this morning to discover that a very sneaky bunny had come during the night and hid all kinds of surprises around the house. We had been talking with him lots about Easter, and that a bunny would be coming and hiding eggs. I realized that he perhaps didn't quite understand the concept when I overheard him telling Ben that a rabbit was coming to our house and that he was bringing groceries. I guess he just figured that some random bunny was coming over and that he'd stop at the store for eggs on the way... considerate guy, that bunny!

Grandma, Grandpa and Auntie Sarah came over for brunch, and brought some Easter surprises for Jack!
